Robert Brown has contributed significantly to the development of the Canadian aerospace industry. After holding several senior positions in the federal public service, he joined Bombardier Inc., in 1987. While he was president of Bombardier Aerospace-and, subsequently, its chief executive officer-the company became a leader in the regional jet and business aircraft markets and the third-largest civil aerospace company in the world. He is now president and chief executive officer of CAE, a global leader in flight simulation technologies. Also known for his community leadership, he has led fundraising campaigns for l'Université de Montréal, McGill University, the United Way and the Canadian Cancer Society.
