His perpetual youthfulness is evident in his continued involvement in medical, community and sports activities. This "prairie surgeon", a founding member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Past President of the Canadian Medical Association, still participates in regular meetings and, in his spare time, does volunteer work with senior citizens.
