Former Chief Justice, Trial Division, of the Supreme Court of Alberta, he made a reputation for himself as a fair and hard-working judge. Taking on difficult cases and traveling to remote areas, this native Albertan was respected by all for his sensitivity, his sympathetic understanding and his sound judgements which were rendered with a refreshing simplicity of language and logic.
