An Italian immigrant with a strong belief in a fully-integrated Canadian society, he devotes his time and energy to various volunteer agencies and community groups. A past president of COSTI-IIAS Immigrant Services, he was the founder and first Vice-President of the National Congress of Italian-Canadians, former Vice Chairman of the Canadian Consultative Council on Multiculturalism and is currently a member of the Senate and the Board of Directors of York University.
