A superb tenor saxophonist long recognized as one of the West Coast's top musicians, he has contributed a great deal to the cultural cause of modern music, not only in Canada but around the world. Best-known as a jazz musician, he has traveled widely, especially in Russia, acting as an outstanding musical ambassador for Canada.
