One of the greatest achievements of this former Quebec Deputy Minister of Agriculture is undoubtedly the fact that he guided the province toward a modern, scientific and industrialized agricultural system by encouraging, among other things, the reorganization of higher education in the field of agronomy. He subsequently put his knowledge and experience in rural management and food and agriculture development to work for Third World countries and volunteer organizations such as the Canadian Hunger Foundation.
