Following a brilliant career in the military and in the field of engineering, he distinguished himself by his arduous work and unswerving dedication to public affairs. A former Chairman of the National Harbours Board, he also served as Vice-President of Canadian National Railways and of Metric Commission Canada. Now retired, he devotes his time and energy to many voluntary activities.
