One of the original visionaries responsible for bringing the 1988 Winter Olympics to Calgary, he went on to become Chairman and Chief Executive officer of the Calgary Olympic Organizing Committee. Under his leadership this organization produced the most successful Winter Olympics ever held, and showed the world what Canada, Alberta and Calgary can do.
