One of Canada's leading architects and teachers, he has designed everything from elegant low-cost housing to such major public buildings as the Winnipeg Art Gallery while simultaneously teaching full-time and holding the position of Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. He is also a prominent member of Winnipeg's Portuguese community.
