For over 40 years, this eminent paediatrician has championed the cause of children. In particular, she distinguished herself through her pioneering efforts toward the protection of youth in Quebec. She is credited with the creation of the Clinique de protection de l'enfance and the Centre de développement, both located at the Hôpital Sainte-Justine. She is Professor Emeritus with the Université de Montréal, where she established a specialized training program in developmental paediatrics. Through her vision, outstanding teaching abilities and various initiatives with political and legal authorities, she has strongly influenced several generations of people dedicated to the cause of youth.
