This neurologist has combined his busy practice with an outstanding voluntary commitment to organizations that support and promote persons with disabilities. Norman Lush served as medical director for the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association and the Newfoundland Division of the Canadian Paraplegic Association. In addition, he was a key organizer of the 1978 Canadian Games for the Physically Disabled. As co-founder and president of The HUB, he provided steadfast leadership as this social and service centre developed into the focal point for the disability community in St. John's.
