An exemplary and inspirational military leader, business executive and volunteer, he has served his country with honour and distinction. A former Chief of Defence Staff, he commanded at all levels of the Air Force and was instrumental in the procurement of the CF-18 fighter aircraft. Following his 38-year career with the Canadian Forces, he became Chairman of the Board of Lockheed Martin Canada. A dedicated and selfless volunteer, he is Chairman of the Canadian War Museum's "Passing the Torch" fundraising campaign and Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame, as well as a Trustee of the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
