Anne Golden has translated into action her concern for the disadvantaged members of our society. Long-time president of the United Way of Greater Toronto, she convinced the community at large of its responsibility towards others. Her many outstanding achievements with the agency include record-breaking financial campaigns, as well as a significant increase in the number of charities that receive funding. Accepting a new challenge as president and chief executive officer of the Conference Board of Canada, she continues to be guided by her strong sense of social purpose.
