Jack Pelech is a lawyer who believes that participating in sport builds character, community and national pride. As volunteer chair of the Canada Games Council for 30 years, he was a key figure in the creation and expansion of the Canada Games, an important and unique element in the development of our amateur athletes. He also shared his experience, skills and networks with the City of Hamilton when it hosted world championships in two different sporting events. In addition, with his involvement in ParticipACTION and the National Advisory Council on Fitness and Amateur Sport, he has promoted greater physical activity amongst all Canadians.
