Born in the tiny village of Barachois, Gaspé, he has gone on to become a leader in the financial industry. Former Vice-Chairman of the Toronto Dominion Bank, he played an integral role in the creation of the First Nations Bank, forming a base for Aboriginal economic self-sufficiency. As a founding member and chair of the Canadian Arctic Producers, he helped to launch the careers of several Inuit artists. In 1996, he founded Career Edge, a national youth internship program which provides university graduates with valuable hands-on experience.
