In the 1980s, they met Mother Teresa and, moved by their experience, they founded Canadian Food for Children, a volunteer-driven organization which collects funds and food for starving children around the world. Over the years, word of mouth has spread their simple message of sharing. Thousands of Canadians, young and old, participate in the project by collecting, sorting and packing more than 300 containers annually. The results are tangible - hungry children are being fed. As well, volunteers are witnessing the results of direct sharing between distant communities and learning of the importance of global unity.
