A distinguished administrator, professor and researcher at the Department of Animal and Poultry Science at the University of Saskatchewan, he has contributed to the development of agricultural practices in Canada and around the world. An expert in nutrition and dairy management, he helped to establish the Saskatchewan Feed Testing Laboratory. His research in the areas of animal nutrition, fodder production and grassland rehabilitation, as well as his leadership on international projects, have led to increased sustainable production worldwide.
