He has contributed to the economic, cultural and social fabric of Saskatchewan for over 50 years. The first Director of the Economic Research Division of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Regina, he was responsible for much of its farm and corporate policies. In Saskatoon, he expanded the Wheat Pool's printing and publishing division. He was highly regarded for his role as Editor of The Western Producer, and for his great understanding of the needs of farmers and the business community. He has also been active with provincial and national co-operative unions, university research institutions and many local organizations.
