A dedicated volunteer, she has worked to improve the quality of life in her city and her province for the past 40 years. Her compassion and leadership abilities have inspired others to action and brought about change in health care, education and social service. Her wide-ranging voluntarism has benefited institutions and organizations such as the University of Calgary, the Heritage Park Society and the Calgary Board of Health. She continues her involvement within the health sector, notably through her longtime commitment to the Calgary Regional Health Authority.
