Herménégilde Chiasson is an extraordinary advocate for the arts and culture. For more than 40 years, this prolific, renowned artist has donned several hats: poet, playwright, filmmaker, painter, printmaker and professor. In addition, as lieutenant governor of New Brunswick, he dedicated himself to strengthening ties between Francophone, Anglophone and Aboriginal communities. His extensive career has helped to create a more contemporary vision of Acadian culture and to promote Acadia here in Canada and around the world.
