Léo Robert is a pillar of the Franco-Manitoban community. A seasoned educator, he dedicated himself to Francophone education for 36 years as a teacher, school principal and executive director of the Division scolaire franco-manitobaine. Extending his support to post-secondary education, he was instrumental in obtaining university designation for the Université de Saint-Boniface. A tireless community leader and courageous advocate for Francophone minority rights, he distinguished himself at the helm of the Société franco-manitobaine, particularly during the 1983 French-language crisis.
