Josie Hill is a dedicated advocate for Indigenous families in Winnipeg. She has been a pioneer in the growth of the city’s community-based services, notably as the executive director and founder of Blue Thunderbird Family Care and as the former leader of numerous Indigenous support organizations including the Andrews Street Family Centre, the Native Women's Transition Centre and the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre. Working from Indigenous teachings, she has helped develop a network of community resources and supports to strengthen the well-being of families.
