An esteemed aircraft maintenance engineer, Ben McCarty is a leader in the industry. As the founding member and past president of the Atlantic region’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Association, he is best known for uniting Canada’s six regional associations into a single body of industry professionals. At the helm of Woodlands Aviation Ltd. for 50 years, he has serviced several specialty planes, including aerial survey aircraft. He is also an in-demand minister’s delegate maintenance (MD-M) consultant with Transport Canada, and participated in the development and implementation of new Canadian aviation regulations.
