He has had a tremendous influence in bringing various Churches closer together, both in Canada and beyond our borders. The accomplishments of this pioneer of the ecumenical movement in Canada include the establishment of the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism's Catholic Inquiry Forum/Forum catholique and Sentiers de Foi. He is also credited with establishing Ecumenism, a quarterly journal published in English and French and distributed in over 40 countries. This great communicator has also represented the Canadian bishops on many international committees and at countless meetings around the world. Through his myriad accomplishments, this man of peace, dialogue and action has helped plant seeds of tolerance and unity.
