    Mary Law, O.C. Cambridge, Ontario Mary Law has changed the way we view disability. Her visionary approach to rehabilitation called for modifying the environment to suit the individual’s needs—a transformative concept in the 1980s. As a professor at McMaster University, she is a pre-eminent leader in occupational therapy whose scholarship forms part of the field’s research canon and has shaped clinical practice worldwide. She is also the co-founder of CanChild, a world-leading institute in childhood disability research and knowledge translation that champions the full participation of children with disabilities in society.
