Experienced pilot and talented administrator, Joseph Fernand Henley has helped develop and operate air routes to Canada's North for over three decades. In 1955, he piloted the first cargo flight of the Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line. Two years later, he became Vice-President Operations of Nordair. Under his management, the company became one of the first carriers to offer regular service to the Canadian Arctic. For the James Bay Hydroelectric Project, he played an indispensable role in planning and building the infrastructures connected to Hydro-Québec's air operations.
