One of the longest-serving artistic directors in Canadian contemporary dance, Peter Boneham is known as a visionary leader. Since his beginnings with Le Groupe de la Place Royale, he has been highly influential and is revered as a choreographer, trainer and teacher. He is the founder and former artistic director of Ottawa's Le Groupe Dance Lab. There, he was the first person in the world to provide choreographers with a dedicated centre to develop and rework their pieces. He has also introduced this concept abroad and, over the years, has contributed to the advancement of numerous careers and to the creation of countless original works.
