For more than thirty years, he has been a dedicated volunteer with several sports and charitable organizations, both provincially and regionally. Nicknamed "le père des Jeux de l'Acadie" (father of the Acadian Games), he started this event which, each year, draws more than 5,000 Francophone athletes from the Maritime provinces. In addition, he is involved in a great many projects for improving the well-being of his fellow citizens.
