For over five decades, she has worked tirelessly to preserve and promote the Yiddish language in Canada. Through her leadership roles within the Canadian Jewish Congress, she has organized major events including conventions, concerts and lectures. She also has instituted language-training programs to transmit this rich linguistic heritage to younger generations and to the community at large. Founder of the former Workmen's Circle Choir, she later initiated Montréal's Yiddish Festival in the Park.
