In addition to a remarkable academic career, he founded and developed Ottawa University's Vocational Guidance Centre and Placement Service. Very active in the Scouting movement since 1935, he became national President of l'Association des scouts du Canada . He has also been invited by the Ontario government to sit on numerous committees dealing with francophone affairs.
