Winner of the gold medal in women's 3-metre diving at the Los Angeles Olympics, she is the first Canadian to win a gold medal in diving, and the first Québec woman to win Olympic gold. Named Canada's female athlete of the year for 1984, she is currently an advisor to the Canadian Diving Team.
