Since his arrival in Canada after having served with the free Polish forces in the war, he has become a community leader in Oshawa, Ontario. He has worked with the Royal Canadian Legion, the Emergency Measures Organization and the Victorian Order of Nurses, and helped to found the Oshawa and Canadian Folk Arts councils, the Community Citizenship Council and a host of Polish community enterprises.
