Having established the Textile Department at the Ontario College of Art and serving as Head of Textiles there until 1985, she has, by her participation in numerous exhibitions in Canada and the United States and as a visiting lecturer at various art galleries and museums, made major efforts to obtain the same recognition for craftsmen, both at home and abroad, as painters and sculptors already receive.
