A pioneer in the development of co-operative education in Ontario and a co-founder of the University of Waterloo, he has turned his energies to aiding the speech impaired, most notably through his dynamic leadership of the Speech Foundation of Ontario and his contribution to the establishment of a major children's treatment facility in Toronto.
