Besides being a farmer, he is president of his own manufacturing firm, which has in many ways contributed to the economic development of the town of Frontier, Sask. He has been active in community, church, and provincial affairs and in 1971 was elected Citizen of the Year by the Saskatchewan Homecoming Committee.
