A renowned Canadian endocrinologist, this Manitoba native is presently head of the Department of Physiology at the University of Manitoba. Founder of the internationally respected Protein and Polypeptide Hormone Laboratory, which supplies human growth hormone for the treatment of children with pituitary disorders, he is best known as the discoverer of human prolactin, a hormone which plays an important role in infertility and reproductive disorders.
