This leading Ojibway who has served as Chief of the Cote Reserve conceived his beliefs in justice and welfare for all during his war service in Europe. Over the years he worked with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians and the National Assembly of First Nations, defining the rights, obligations and constitutional position of the Native Peoples. As the first Indian justice of the peace he has trained eighteen others in this office.
