A member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for over 30 years, Roy Romanow enjoyed a distinguished career of public service. As attorney general, he drafted legislation that reflected his commitment to social equity and which led to the creation of the Human Rights Commission and the Office of the Ombudsman, among others. During his mandates as premier, he set a new standard for leadership in the areas of economic and social reform. As a testament to his integrity and wise counsel, he was later entrusted by the Government of Canada to study the sustainability of our national health care system.
