Pierre Daloze, renowned surgeon, is a pioneer in organ transplantation. He was the first in Canada to perform a liver transplant and the first in the Francophone community to perform a kidney transplant. Founder and director of the transplant unit at Montreal's Notre-Dame Hospital, he also co founded Métro-Transplantation (later Québec-Transplant) and the Maison des greffés. Through his actions, he continues to raise awareness of organ donation and to contribute to the health and well being of many patients.
