A lawyer, he is President of the University of Windsor. He is well-known for his work in the community and has held executive positions in such organizations as the United Way of Windsor and Essex County and the Heritage Windsor Foundation. A former member of the Canadian Mission to the United Nations, he recently served as Chairman of the government Task Force on Mandatory Retirement.
