The first Aboriginal woman called to the bar in Manitoba, Marion Meadmore has used her knowledge to benefit her people. After dedicating years to such issues as Aboriginal housing, and helping to found Indian and Metis friendship centres, she is now working to achieve economic independence for Aboriginal people by helping them to launch their own businesses.
