Born and educated on the Wikwemikong Reserve in Ontario, this British Columbia resident's talent for drawing and painting was soon recognized and encouraged and, today, she is a central figure in the development of Native art in Canada and is known for her great innovation and ability to work in a variety of mediums and styles.
