An internationally renowned documentary filmmaker, she is deeply committed to raising the profile of Aboriginal history and culture. She produces, directs and writes her films. With pride and sensitivity, she tells the stories of those who are not always able to make their voices heard, as in Richard Cardinal: Cry from a Diary of a MÚtis Child. Her association with the National Film Board has also resulted in a series of documentaries about the Mohawks of Oka, with the first film alone garnering 18 international awards. Well known for her integrity and dedication, she sits on various committees and boards, including the board of the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. This is a promotion within the Order.

Her tireless commitment to protecting the countryÆs heritage and history has earned her international acclaim, including numerous film awards and distinctions named in her honour.
