Successful in the fields of investment and industrial real estate, Jacob Lowy has long been a leader of the Montreal Jewish community, working particularly with the Jewish General Hospital and Hebrew day schools. He has also become a bibliophile of considerable note. He presented a priceless collection of rare Hebraica to the National Library of Canada - the Library's single most valuable gift to date.
