Shortly after arriving in Edmonton in 1919 Dick Rice showed such faith in the future as to open a radio station, one of whose programmes introduced service to the North. More recently his station has branched out into television and FM stereo and has received prizes for excellence. His concern for the community has resulted in his strong support of universities, history and the arts.
