One of the country's foremost leaders in increasing efficiency in food production, he is an extraordinary ambassador for Canada whose numerous honours and awards have brought prestige to Canadian agriculture. Although retired from his position as Chief Executive Officer of Shaver Poultry Breeding Farms Ltd., he remains dedicated to feeding the hungry of the world, now serving as the volunteer Council Chairman of the Developing Countries Farm Radio Network.
