Confined to a wheelchair all her life, she is a forceful spokesman for disabled persons. She is active in many organizations, notably the Manitoba League of the Physically Handicapped, and is chairman of the Patients' Rights Committee of the Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties. In addition, she is an artist with various prizes to her credit.
