Endowed with both intelligence and practicality, Dr. Scott, of the University of British Columbia, has directed his attention to two of the great economic problems of our day: federal finance and natural resource management. In the former field he has published an authoritative book and served on the Royal Commission on Canada's Economic Prospects; to the latter he has devoted a host of publications and served on the International Joint Commission. He has pioneered in applying economic-mathematical analysis to pollution control.
