A leader in the Edmonton community, he became best known as founder, building campaign chairman and Executive Producer of the Citadel Theatre. Since his appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada in 1978, he has expanded his activities in business, the community and the theatre serving as Director of several Alberta corporations, as member of the Board of Governors of the National Theatre School, Honorary Governor of the Dominion Drama Festival and National Vice-President of the United Israel Appeal. (This is a promotion within the Order).
