Biologist, explorer and filmmaker, Jean Lemire has raised public awareness of the fragile environmental balance of marine ecosystems. Leading a number of scientific and cinematic expeditions aboard his ship, Sedna IV, he has produced internationally acclaimed documentaries on the repercussions of global warming in the Arctic and Antarctic. Through his films and lectures, he informs his audiences and raises awareness. His tireless commitment to protecting the environment has earned him a number of awards and honours, including the Citation of Lifetime Achievement from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
